Soumya Garg

Soumya is an illustrator and printmaker, originally from Delhi, India, currently based in New Haven, CT. In her illustration practice, she loves exploring dimensionality and the different physical forms that art can take. Her work aims to capture the childlike joy and whimsy that caters to kids and adults alike, and subjects that people can relate to from their everyday life. Themes that she is interested in include nature, comfort, and human connections with each other, with places, and with oneself.

She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in May 2023 with a BFA in Illustration and minors in Printmaking and Book Arts.
